Auditor Details

Auditor Class
  • Class VIII
  • Ls Auditor

Trey Lotz is an IFA Certified Class VIII Auditor
with 43 years of auditing experience since 1969

Trey has always had a deep interest in spiritual matters. He already had a Bachelors Degree in philosophy when he discovered scientology in 1968. Trey quickly recognized the brilliance of the technology and within a few months was auditing professionally.

Trey became a Class VIII within two years, and over the subsequent decades did many tech courses, including three Internships at Flag, two of them under LRH on the ship. This year, 2011, is his 43rd anniversary as a full time professional auditor, having delivered 43,000 hours of auditing and counselling over the years.

Trey has also done a very thorough Bridge, completing everything up to OT VIII, including all 3 Ls.

Trey has had a very successful field practice since 1970, a practice which had the best auditing statistics of any field practice in Scientology history. Four years ago he went completely independent and joined the Independent Field. He is now trained on the technology of the Ls as well as NOTs and is now in a position where he can deliver any audited action on the entire bridge, as well as Debugs, Conditions and Admin Scales.

Trey states: "My purpose is to give people an opportunity to do what they came into Scientology to do - fully handle their case and complete their Bridge."

Many people who have been in the Church, have ended up on the outside with distinctly negative feelings about their experience.

"In my many years as an auditor, I would quite often recover people who had fallen off of the Bridge. Typically they had mixed feelings about Scientology. That is, they had had good and bad experiences. These good/bad experiences may have occurred regarding their auditing, being on staff, or just as a student."

I would handle this by doing appropriate correction lists and simple actions such as ruds or a correction list on charged terminals or charged areas. People would typically get great wins from this, but what was most interesting was that the wins they were getting weren't from the auditing I was doing on them. They were getting the full impact of wins that they had gotten previously in their auditing or training that were obscured and nullified by the charge that they also had associated with it.

I noticed this subjectively myself at one point when, as a pc, I was asked about every auditor that had audited me, and after an L1C was done on each reading one, I suddenly had lots of case gain that was not apparent previously. Not only that, but it also improved me as an auditor, because I had subjective reality on everything that the auditors had done that had bypassed charge on me, whether I really noticed it at the time or not. Anyone that has been in Scientology for any length of time, anyone who has done some bridge or some training, is smarter and stronger as a result. However, to the extent that the entire experience has been layered over with restimulated charge, these wins will be compromised and not manifesting in life. A few hours of targeted auditing will clean up lots of bypassed charge and restore to you all the positive things that were gained. Whatever your experience with Scientology and the Church, it can be cleaned up to a point where you don't have attention on it anymore.

You'd be surprised how good that feels."

Like most on the bridge for many years I had learned to keep a wide orbit of the church but still had a strong desire to get further up the bridge. Thanks to the internet I was extremely glad to have my suspicions confirmed as to the ‘correct why’ and for the comm lines it gave for independent services. I read Trey’s profile and his pcs’ wins. I contacted Terril Park, known for his contacts and for linking people in the independent field and he gave Trey a very good review.

I then contacted Trey direct and got a quick response. I organized to fly for auditing and filed out a summary of past auditing, my view on it, and specific things that were blatantly obvious but not handled.

The first thing I noticed was that Trey handled communication very swiftly and with good affinity and reality.

When I arrived I was in session very quickly and handling any unhandled stuff. The absolute antithesis of the church’s never-ending, endlessness of endless setups!

I mean, I was on my L11 (after several years without auditing) only a day or two after landing in L.A.! I mean; compare Flag (insert; loud, sarcastic laughter).

L11 was swift and I was on to and through L12 after three more weeks. I remember being on the cans to attest and reading the lines of the EP of L12 and with absolutely zero comm lag and with total certainty saying, ‘YES!’

I am now doing L10 with Trey and really am on the up-escalator of substantial, noticeable case gain.

The waiting area is comfortable, full of good, independent books on scientology and a wide range of general subjects; it is light and friendly, again the antithesis of the cold, surgically ‘aesthetic’, waiting area of orgs where one is prey to any stat-hungry terminal... Here you can just ‘BE’!

In the auditing room; the chair is big and comfortable, the room is light and ‘real’, with good pictures of LRH and Tech vols etc, and shelves full of part of Trey’s huge collection of blues and motown etc. LPs. To me, a room you can relax in is a big bonus! I remember paying top money in my local AO and being in a cold, absolutely soulless environment, complete with one of those small, black ‘1984’ surveillance camera domes.

As for the Ls: After 30 years, much of which was spent in a state of literal, negative equity paying off getting up the bridge, it is so good to be on the most expensive auditing in Scientology at a price any working class person can afford with just a little self discipline, isn’t that the way LRH envisioned it? It is auditing which demands a high level of auditor skill by its nature; you are dealing with very hot stuff with no room for ‘wrong items’. Hence, if you Google the subject, you see a range of opinions regarding the Ls. I would imagine this is due to whether they were done in the church or not, and if so, during which era, and also by whom. I do know that with Trey, apart from safe standard auditing, you will get some very interesting steps that were dropped by the church on L12 (wrongly), but then again, these days, the church is not a good source of standard tech (insert tone of sarcasm).

It is worth stating that all the points (some of which were bugging me for decades, even though I was getting auditing in the church) that I wrote up pre-session, where either fully handled or have been greatly improved on the Ls so far (and I’ve got the vast majority of L10 –the longest, still to go). On each trip I have talked to several of his Ls pcs and they really were getting great results; in them, and his other pcs, I also saw from an objective viewpoint, the results of his auditing!

But regardless of the next action that you need/want, you will on it very swiftly and on to good standard case gain with Trey. Don’t let memories of the last twenty or more years of the church put you off. Instead, start by going on-line and reading the success stories of his PCs.

Trey audited me on the Grades, L11, L12, and L10. Most people I have spoken to think Trey is one of the best auditors in the world, if not the best. I would have to agree with them. Trey is completely dedicated to his profession. He typically audits 7 days a week and works about 10 hours each day. Despite his work schedule, he is unusually uptone and cheerful. In fact, I have never seen him even for a moment cross or short or condescending toward anyone. He is also highly intelligent, has an amazing understanding of Scientology tech, and smoothly and easily handles whatever comes up in session. In fact, despite receiving hundreds of hours of auditing from Trey, I have never seen him confused or hesitant or unsure of himself in session. He just seems to immediately know how to handle whatever comes up. Trey audits out of his home and has created a friendly, bright space for his PCs. I feel very fortunate to have been able to receive the Ls without any regging, in such a great space, at such a low rate and by such a talented auditor.

I came to Trey at my wits end, referred by Karen de la Carriere (thanks again!). I was a former exec at an org, so faced firsthand the disparity between what Scientology looks like as written by LRH, which is a scientific, advanced spiritual practice, and the Scientology which is run by some crazy people in a socialist, uber-controlling, MEST-worshipping cult with a mini-Stalin as their Dear Leader. I hated all the contradictions, so I routed off. After I left, I was pretty pissed at all of these morons for ruining something which could have been great, and did not associate with any Scientologists for many years.

However, as life started throwing more challenges at me, I turned more and more to my training to solve issues. With these wins, I got my confidence back in LRH, and I decided that I needed to get back into session before the disasters that were befalling me got worse.

Enter Trey. I consider myself very damn lucky to have gotten on his comm lines. The difference with Trey is that he has no hidden agenda, no game he is trying to secretly win with you as a piece. This guy has won it all already, and invites you into his space to help you win, on your own terms, as well.

With Trey I felt like I was finally getting some pure Scientology. Not "PERFECT," ROBOTIC, SCARY Scientology, just warm and friendly, genuine help. I don't even mind some of the little idiosyncrasies he has, like his proclivity for vitamins. He seriously has the largest collections of nutritional pills, powders, and capsules I have ever seen outside of a health food store. You will be impressed. His National Geographics are pretty cool too.

Anyway, back to the subject: Trey has audited for over 40 years. He has heard and seen it all. You can trust him with your case, with your thoughts, with your deepest spiritual issues...and it won't faze him. Believe me, I am sure I kept him entertained with my crazy crap as a PC, and he didn't bat an eyelash! : )

With Trey, I did a repair, including FINALLY handling my PTSness correctly, attested to Clear, and did my L11 and L12. I am in pretty damn good shape now, and spent a small fraction of what I would have spent at Flag. I am lucky to have him as my auditor, and look forward to doing L10 with him one day.

I got my L 11 in the church in the early 90s. My auditor, Rick Alexander, was super.

In early 2012 I went to see Trey to get my L 12. Trey is every bit as good as Rick from the viewpoint of quality, competence and gains.

I would recommend him to anyone.

Trey is doing the same thing today he has been doing for over 40 years, auditing. He is brilliant. Very fast mind. I think he may be the only person who has audited me that has not looked confused or like I lost them somewhere. He is a very loving being and truly cares about people and always the person in front of him. I have had two L's from him and plan to return for third shortly. My husband has also been audited by Trey on two L's. Nobody in my family has ever had a loss with Trey. The L's were beyond my wildest dreams. I went BEYOND what I ever expected from Scientology. Trey's wife Nicci is a very warm, caring accommodating person who does her best to make everyone feel at home and comfortable. Trey's history speaks itself. He has dedicated his life to caring for others.

I have only had the opportunity to speak with Trey and number of times, but these discussions were on the technical aspects of Scientology. I have also listened to his interviews online covering various aspects of auditing, and I am well aware of his reputation as a well trained Scientology auditor. Trey stands among many other standard Scientology practitioners who delivers services outside the oppressive and abusive walls of the Corporate Church of Scientology. If you need expert service, contact Trey. If you wish to ruin your life, go to the Church of Scientology instead.

Wow. What a fantastic decision it was for me to go see Trey. I had been off lines since 1994 after routing out of the Sea Org. My exit was pretty messy and I had a lot of BPC to say the least. I had also never addressed or handled what I originally got into Scientology to handle.

Trey was recommended to me as top-notch Auditor. I arranged to come see him for an interview and assessment. Of course I knew of him by reputation but this was the first time I had met him this lifetime. He was very welcoming and friendly, yet professional at the same time.

We went to his auditing room and he interviewed me about what I had done so far on the bridge and what I wanted to handle. Believe me, the stuff I wanted to handle was pretty hard to confront. At the end of the interview, Trey excused himself for a short time and said that he would be right back. When he returned he said “OK. I think we can help you with this”. A few sessions into the cleanup, I noticed how he looked and thought, “Boy, this guy looks like he’s been through the wars!”, his appearance was haggard, tired and beat-up.

As we progressed through the “cleanup” his appearance (to me) seemed to get better at some points and worse at others. All the while we were handling massive loads of charge on my case and I was feeling progressively better and better. Not too many sessions later we had gotten through it. What a relief!

Next we started Grade 1. This has been a fantastic action. As we have gone through this level my problems have been dissolving left and right. I am back in PT and back in Action! Recently I’ve noticed that the problems of those on my comm lines are also resolving. My affinity flows and ability to confront and take responsibility have reached entirely new levels. I am enthusiastic about the future that lies ahead of me.

As I was driving down the road after a Grade 1 session with Trey, I thought to myself, “Boy, Trey really looks good lately”. He looked youthful and strong, vibrant and full of energy.

And then it hit me. “This is what an Auditor does! This is ACT ONE! OH, MY GOD!”

In Advanced Procedures and Axioms, L. Ron Hubbard exactly describes this procedure:

“The auditor and pre-clear are a group. To function well a group must be cleared. The clearing of a group is not difficult. It requires but little time. The relationship of the auditor and pre-clear is not parity. The auditor lends himself to the group as the control center of the group until the pre-clear’s subcontrol center is established under his own control center’s command. The role of the auditor ceases at that moment.
The auditor necessarily owns the pre-clear. He owns the pre-clear on a lessening basis until the pre-clear owns himself. If the auditor wishes to successfully own, to the end of NOT owning the pre-clear, he must not use the pre-clear to the service of the auditor for this establishes and confirms the ownership and inhibits the pre-clear from owning himself.

THE FIRST ACT of the auditor concerns himself. He assesses the task rather than the pre-clear and assesses the matter within himself. He establishes whether or not he desires the pre-clear to become established under the pre-clear’s own center of control. To do this the auditor may find it necessary to straight-wire himself for the removal of any reason why he does not want this pre-clear to be owned by the pre-clear. He then postulates to himself what he wants to happen with this pre-clear and postulates as well that he can do this task with this pre-clear. He must feel these postulates solidly. If he cannot he must discover why he cannot. Thus the first session’s first minutes with the pre-clear are concerned with the auditor himself. He should take time out from the pre-clear until he himself is established in his task and then readdress the pre-clear. “

My cognition continued on my way back home. My mind reeled at the awesome magnitude of Trey’s compassion and ability to confront and handle another’s case. When I first met him and he agreed to take on my case, I thought he looked beat up and haggard. Little did I know that his appearance was literally a manifestation, in him, of what kind of shape I was in! Now that I am well and happy, he also looks well and happy! (Sorry about putting you through that, buddy. I really didn’t know how it actually worked until now).

This awesome responsibility that is assumed by Auditors such as Trey is the exact reason why they are THE MOST VALUABLE BEINGS ON THE PLANET. They literally take on your case, confront and handle it with you and for you.

There are not enough adjectives in the English language to describe the magnitude of this expression of love for one’s fellow’s.

Thank you, Trey, thank you, thank you, thank you. My words of gratitude do not seem enough. Thank you for what you are doing for me, for mankind and all of the Dynamics of Existence. I shall endeavor to repay you with my good works toward our mutual goals of achieving spiritual freedom for all.

Love,
Scott Campbell
